Elizabeth earned her Grand Diplome from The French Culinary Institute of New York where she was honored as the recipient of the prestigious NYC chapter of Les Dames D’Escoffier Scholarship for women. She also graduated Magna Cvm Laude from Columbia University. Elizabeth has had the opportunity to work in some of New York City and Los Angeles' top restaurants and pastry establishments and has independently catered for hundreds of private, corporate and celebrity clients.
Following a successful career in public relations and internet marketing, Elizabeth decided to follow her true passion for food and entertainment and founded Bite Catering Couture in 2006. Born in London, England, she has had the pleasure of living both in the US and internationally, including London, New York City, Houston and Indonesia. Her international perspective and culturally rich foundation continue to push her creative approach to food, use of high quality, seasonal ingredients, and responsiveness to diverse client needs.
Elizabeth believes that food is a truly personal experience as it touches on every level of our identity, memory, sensory experience and emotion. It is this warmth, passion, understanding and philosophy that she brings to each of her clients. Likewise, she continues to push her team to expand their culinary horizons and to create an environment where creativity and innovation are nurtured and encouraged while maintaining only the highest standards in quality, service and presentation. |

Chef Gavin was born in South Africa where he graduated from the Hotel School at Witwaterersrand University in Johannesburg achieving a National Higher Diploma in Catering Management as well as an Honor Award in his year for the study of Kitchen Management and the Culinary Arts.
Gavin spent the next several years working with some of the best hotels, restaurants and private Royal and celebrity households in the United Kingdom and Europe. During this time he also obtained his degree in Sugar Craft and Cake Decorating from South Thames College in London.
Gavin jumped into the catering world with his first role as Executive Chef for one of London's leading and most well-respected caterers - a role that challenged him and in which he thrived.
In 2007 Gavin made the big move to the United States and started his own custom cake company in Los Angeles while also increasing his Sugar Artistry Skills with certificates in Sugar Artistry and Sculptures.
Chef Gavin has been a member of the Bite team since the beginning of 2008 and, as Executive Chef works alongside Chef Elizabeth overseeing Bite's sit-down and buffet catering offerings as well as its custom cake creations. |
