Nestled in downtown Long Beach, between Los Angeles and Orange Counties, 440 Elm is a noted architectural gem designed by architect Elmer Grey (Beverly Hills Hotel, Pasadena Playhouse, Throop Polytechnic/ Caltech) in 1913. Built in the Renaissance Revival style, this newly renovated historic landmark conveys a light and airy feeling rare for a property of its size. The combination of one of the largest ballrooms in the Los Angeles area with a similarly sized outdoor Plaza gives couples a rare urban option for large weddings in a private space. A downstairs Parlor offers an industrial setting with exposed brick perfect for a jazz lounge, cultural ceremony, or late-night dance party.
