Alumni Event Catering

Your school or company has a built-in base of people who love to have been there...the alumni. As an activated and engaged network, it can be a powerful and supportive community that can continue to drive educational, career, and philanthropic pursuits well past the time spent on campus.

We typically see a wide range of events tied in with alumni:

• Admission-related events related to student recruitment and interviews
• Capital campaign related events for major projects
• Game-related events (homecoming, tailgating)
• Professional society events (law, business, engineering, film, medical programs)
• Scholarship and award related events (and related committee meetings, fundraising galas, etc)

Alumni Events can happen in a wide range of settings that can impact catering requirements:

• Campus
• Private Homes
• Sporting-related facilities and hotels

Our Approach to Catering Alumni Events

We love that alumni events tap into a built in and passionate community of people that have shared backgrounds and interests. It creates natural goodwill and community that enhances the ability to create human connection. We love to enhance that experience by tying into elements that push those natural advantages further:

• Channeling the excitement and energy of significant things happening at school
• Leveraging homes or event spaces available on campus or through alumni
• Utilizing colors, themes, songs, etc that are naturally a part of campus tradition and cheer

We work with alumni organizations, school organizers, alumni chairs/ committees, etc to help outline a compelling vision of the proposed event and areas where catering may be able to enhance important areas of focus. We will often separately check in with key stakeholders (especially the host) to ensure that the plan is thoroughly communicated and all key participants believe the event is happening with full knowledge of elements / people that are important as well as comfort with the plan. We have found that a little extra communication can really ensure that things are seamless when the day of the event comes around.

We have a flexible model that can utilize the appropriate elements of catering menus and formats to the different portions of an event. A casual coffee & cocktail hour may be a good welcome day ahead of a more involved gala the following day.
