Did you know that Century City was originally the backlot of 20th Century Fox? Following an expensive flop with the movie Cleopatra in 1961, the sale of 180 acres to developer William Zeckendorf heralded the start of Century City. Throwing an event in Century City can be quite convenient if your guests are adjacent to the 405 and 10 freeways. With many corporate office buildings in the area, traffic can be challenging at the peak rush hour times, so you may want to either cater to a group right after work (if everyone is in the area and doesn't want to face traffic) or you may want to set you start times earlier or later if you expect a significant percentage of your guests to come from outside of West LA. The weather is fairly temperate year-round as the proximity to the beach can keep the temperatures below the 100's while being outside of the marine layer that can make summer events chilly.
