Omelette Bar Station

An omelette bar is a great addition to a catered breakfast event. It creates an interacting station that is filling, personalized, and popular with attendees. When combined with other options, it can create a highlight for those who really want a hot and filling breakfast or brunch option.

We can bring equipment that performs well outdoors or utilizing flameless technologies that are sometimes needed in indoor settings (a dedicated electrical circuit can be helpful but isn't required). Our omelette bar setups include skilled omelette-makers, a wide mix of high quality ingredients and toppings, and plenty of surrounding items to create a great breakfast or brunch catering experience.

Using an Omelette Bar in a Catered Event Setting

We all love omelette bars as part of a breakfast/ brunch in a buffet setting where you have a constant flow of people coming and going on different timelines. Events on a shared timeline can be a bit trickier, as you have many attendees on the same timeline trying to do the same things at the same time. We recommend thinking through a few elements that can help you avoid long lines of frustrated, hungry people or blown up event timelines:

  • Simultaneous capacity and pace of production: Each omelette bar chef can manage up to 3-4 omelettes at once and about 6 minutes per each omelette on medium-low heat (you want to cook it slower to get a high quality fluffy omelette). So you get 30-40 omelettes per chef spread out over an hour
  • Competing mix of options: We recommend including an omelette bar in a mix of compelling options so that only those who really want an omelette end up waiting in line. Incorporating other stations (waffles, smoothies, etc) or other egg items (quiches, egg-topped tartines, breakfast burritos can help to spread people out
  • Event timing: Omelette bars work best when you have a setting where different people will be coming in and out of the eating area over a 2-3 hour period. We don't recommend them in settings with large groups of people who need to move into the next element of an event within the next 30-45 minutes.
